On the Road Again

I think one of my most favorite modern day inventions is the iPhone - or any phone, for that matter, with camera capability. I love being 'at the ready' and able to capture a special photo almost immediately. 

And, yes, I love taking them while on the road. 

I love to catch quick glimpses here or there as the seasons unfold right before me. 

I love looking back and recalling the exact moment I took the picture - remember where I was going, what my thoughts were on, and what was happening that day - when I stopped to take the photo. We are lucky to be surrounded by some gorgeous roads near my home - and I often find myself lost in the beauty of my surroundings as I travel them. 

Trust me, I am always careful when taking a photo. I make sure there aren't other cars around, so I am not putting myself - or anyone else - in danger. 

Today, I thought I would share just a few of the pictures I have taken the past few weeks, found while scrolling through my iPhone this morning. I hope you enjoy them. I wonder - do you ever stop and just take in your daily paths?  I wonder what the roads look like from where you are.

    Beautiful winter scenes!!! We never hardly have scenes like that!!! Hope you are feeling better!

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . I will walk passed you and be reminded of that scene in "Willie Wonka" . . . Gene Wilder as "Willie Wonka" image obtained from Google Image Search. Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. Any day now . . . I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested? Hang in there with me, ok? Because this easy, summer "yum" is bound to be a favorite of YOURS!!!! That is . . . unless you have a peanut allergy. If you have a peanut allergy, I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST making this treat. (Come back Monday for another more appropriate post for you.) If you DON'T have peanut allergy . . . run to the store RIGHT NOW and pick up these three things . . . Seriously . . . it only takes these three things; green grapes, lightly salted dry roasted peanuts, and a bag of white chips. Seriously . . . that is all!
