I "heart" Troy . . . BIG TIME!

Last week my blog friend Linda at See Mom Smile wrote a great post called "A double standard I can live with . . . " (click on the post title to link to her blog.) I must admit, I enjoyed it so much . . . because I have . . . a celebrity crush.

Yes, I do. And Linda inspired me to share it with you. My crush is on . . . Troy from High School Musical. It's not right, I know. It's all wrong, I know. I'm twice his age, I know. But I would go to jail for him, I know. (Wait!! Did I say that outloud? Forgive me!)

I just think he's a cutie. I mean . . . it's not like I would go out and buy this pillow or anything . . .

 It's not like I actually went to two Targets looking for it last year. I mean . . . it's not that bad, right?

Imagine my surprise when I ran into him . . .

We make a cute couple, don't you think?
Ok . . . you got me. It's not actually him. Was it his glistening glow that gave it away? Good thing Katie wasn't with me on our trip to Las Vegas last year. She would have been a bit embarassed to find her mom hugging a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

So, yes. I have a crush on Troy. And I don't mind talking about it. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery, right?
Oh, and just in case TROY is reading this . . .

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. I am a scrapbooker . . . but had no idea what a Smash Book was. That is, until my dear friend Peggy brought hers to our Scrapbook Cellar gathering last month. Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. Any day now . . . I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested? Hang in there with me, ok? Because this easy, summer "yum" is bound to be a favorite of YOURS!!!! That is . . . unless you have a peanut allergy.
