Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ok, so at 8:00PM last night. . . this Non-Irish Mom was asked to build a leprechaun trap by her 6 year old Non-Irish Daughter. After a little searching through the house, we had it. Here it is, friends . . . what I think is pretty much the BEST Leprechaun Trap in town!!!!

What is the bait? Gold Dollars, of course!!!! Keep your fingers crossed that I have green food coloring . . . I think the toilets need a little green water!!!! (Yes, I just wrote that!)

    Oh too cute. I will have to share with my sister (that is Irish) to use as an idea for my 3 year old niece. She totally believes in fairies! ;-)

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. I am a scrapbooker . . . but had no idea what a Smash Book was. That is, until my dear friend Peggy brought hers to our Scrapbook Cellar gathering last month. She introduced us all to her cool little composition journal, and the conversation went something like this: PK :  Here is my Smash book. Me : Your what? PK : My Smash Book. Me : Like, smash, what? Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . I will walk passed you and be reminded of that scene in "Willie Wonka" . . . Gene Wilder as "Willie Wonka" image obtained from Google Image Search. Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested? Hang in there with me, ok? Because this easy, summer "yum" is bound to be a favorite of YOURS!!!! That is . . . unless you have a peanut allergy.
