Get Out of Crankville . . . #1!!

So, a while back, I visited a little town called Crankville. Do you remember? (Click the link on Crankville if you forgot).

Crankville is an ugly place - kind of lonely - very quiet - sort of gray - not very crowded, although you can usually find SOMEONE you know when you are there. During that time, I realized I desperately needed to GET OUT. I needed to return to HAPPYVILLE. I allowed myself a few days in this town, but when enough was enough - I took the next bus OUT. All with the help of this card . . .


This card makes me HAPPY!!!

Yesterday and today, a dear blog friend (Leslie from {Words of Me Project} has been in Crankville. Yep, she has. So, I decided to spread the "Get out of Crankville" Love, and bestow upon her my very own "Get out of Crankville" card.

This may turn into a recurring post ... wouldn't that be fun? Not necessarily to LESLIE (as I know for a fact she doesn't visit Crankville very often).     Ah, the CRANKVILLE card! Man, it sucks when you are there! A map just won't do -- you need a get of crankville free card. I hope I don't need one for a long while!

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. I am a scrapbooker . . . but had no idea what a Smash Book was. That is, until my dear friend Peggy brought hers to our Scrapbook Cellar gathering last month. Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . I will walk passed you and be reminded of that scene in "Willie Wonka" . . . Gene Wilder as "Willie Wonka" image obtained from Google Image Search. Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. Any day now . . . I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested?
