    This could have been me, Leanne. You described what I've been feeling for months now...epecially when you say "I feel like I am slow falling and I don't know what to grab onto.". WOW! That spoke to me!!!

    Here's what I see when I watched this...your girls are amazing. And YES, I know so many people do Girl Art...but what you said was this..."They came effortlessly to me. They gave me joy to create." Are you listening to yourself?? Girl, who cares if everyone is doing girl art...your heart is telling you to do it!! Sounds like you have a whole bunch of "girls" in you!!! Paint them...they ARE unique because they are YOU!

    I don't know what I am doing...but I do know I've been thinking about it and trying to sum it all up into a post. I think I am ready to write it today...I am anxious to do that because I always see things more clearly when I write it down.

    Thank you for being so honest here. I think so many women feel this exact same way!!!

    Im glad you are back:O) And DO thoe girl paintings!!!! Those are awesome:O) Yes there are lots of artist who paint ladies girls, angels but everyone puts there own twist to them and yours are just perfect!!!!:O) Love all that you do:O) Have fun on the trip:O) Hugs

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. I am a scrapbooker . . . but had no idea what a Smash Book was. That is, until my dear friend Peggy brought hers to our Scrapbook Cellar gathering last month. She introduced us all to her cool little composition journal, and the conversation went something like this: PK :  Here is my Smash book. Me : Your what? PK : My Smash Book. Me : Like, smash, what? PK : Smash . . . things. You know. Like, stuff. Me : What? PK : See . . . I will put stuff in here. Junk. Things I don't want to lose, but don't know what to do with. Me : Huh? PK : Smash. Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . I will walk passed you and be reminded of that scene in "Willie Wonka" . . . Gene Wilder as "Willie Wonka" image obtained from Google Image Search. Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. Any day now . . . I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested? Hang in there with me, ok? Because this easy, summer "yum" is bound to be a favorite of YOURS!!!! That is . . . unless you have a peanut allergy. If you have a peanut allergy, I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST making this treat. (Come back Monday for another more appropriate post for you.) If you DON'T have peanut allergy . . . run to the store RIGHT NOW and pick up these three things . . .
