C'est la vie

So, I was laid off  yesterday.

Office closed. Position eliminated. Production down. Costs up. Can't keep it going. Adios.

Finished. Kaput. Done.

This is Life.

Maybe tomorrow I will write the epilogue on this portion of my life. Maybe this is the start of a something new. Maybe it is time to finally listen to those inner whispers.

Maybe.

For today, I'd appreciate it so much if you'd throw some positive energy out there in the universe for me. I'm packing up the office today - throwing away 8 years of what I've known. So bittersweet. It's going to be a challenging day for me.

In the meantime, a thought . . .
I like that.

Wishing you Peace, my friends.

  1. Oh friend I am so so sorry. Know that when one door closes another one opens. I truly believe that. You are an amazing woman that any company would be blessed to have you working for them.
Sending you all the positive vibes and love your way. Xoxo

  3. Oh Leanne, I'm so sorry to hear this. I definitely believe that everything happens for a reason, though sometimes we have a hard time understanding that philosophy. The time has come for you to embark on a new journey, one that will take you to even greater places. ~Hugs, Mitzi

  5. So sorry to read this. It's hard to say what other plans God has in mind for you, but He has given you the most amazing gifts of creativity and artistry. What ever door opens for you, I hope you continue to use those gifts, as they are as unique and special as you are!

  6. Sorry to hear this. I'm going through the same thing right now. It isn't easy, but trying times like these can be a bit of a blessing - I'm learning to be careful and frugal, seek out all the little inexpensive joys, and appreciate things a little more in my time of scarcity, I think. Things will get back on track for you soon, I am certain! :)

  9. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didnt do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch teh trade winds in your smile. EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER.

  10. Not much left to say (since we've discussed this topic in depth for the last 12 hours) other than to say, "DON'T JUMP OFF OF ANY BRIDGES!!!!" LOL!!!! :)

You know that road you always traveled down headed to the office? Now envision it as the road to the life that will make you blossom! You have SO much to offer, my friend. So yes, the positive, energy filled vibes are out there, looking to attach to those vibes you feel when you look at what's REALLY important in your life. Hugs, hugs, hugs!!!

  14. In these situations I always look to my favorite quote to ease the pain, "Everything will be fine in the end, if it's not fine, it's not the end." Maybe this is fate's way of letting you know that better things are coming! Sending positive energy your way! :)

  16. Hugs to you - this will be ok. This will be the start of something new, rather than the end of something familiar. Let go. It's ok. Trust me. Love you - ALWAYS here for you.

  17. Oh, Leanne! I get behind and miss a couple of days, and they're life-altering -- liteally! -- days! I'm so sorry to seem negligent. This is terribly difficult in the moment, I know -- you make all these plans for your life, your family, your girls, yourself based upon this vision of yourself and your income and your other roles ... and then. But I absolutely believe that there IS a reason for this, and that this IS an opportunity, truly. An entirely new adventure, a chance to live your dreams and realize them and to have a summer vacation to decompress and re-evaluate ... it can be what you make of it, once you recover from the shock. Lots of hugs, good thought, and love ....
