I'm learning so much this summer - mostly taught by Katie and Ella. When searching for a quote to accompany the above photo of Ella and her lollipop, this particular one seemed to fit. It's perfect, don't you think?

I am forever blessed for these two little girls.

    I, too, am blessed with Katie and Ella in our lives. I truly do not know what CT and I would do without them... they are they girls we never had, and we love them so unconditionally.

    I'm blessed with some wonderfully creative friends, a whole bunch of family that seems to get closer the older I get, some grandkids that make my heart flutter, two kids who make me proud each and every day of my life, and my PG who loves me beyond anything I can even comprehend. My life is very blessed!!

    Tonight I am blessed with the following:
    a dog which I never took on as my own until last week...
    two turtles that we are watching for my niece that has brought so much joy to my daughter's eyes....
    a daughter that loves to stay at her Moo-Moo's house so I can go to work in the am....
    and a hubby that is up stairs sleeping to be up for a 6:45am call....
    and of course a friendship like ours...

    That is a great shot, I love it! I could go on and on with the blessings in my life right now....but the biggest has got to be my husband. As we grow older together, I realize something that I never thought I would: I have found MORE things to love about him.

Have you ever heard of a Smash Book? If you are a scrapbooker or art journal person, you may have. If you are not one of those types, you may not have. I am a scrapbooker . . . but had no idea what a Smash Book was. That is, until my dear friend Peggy brought hers to our Scrapbook Cellar gathering last month. She introduced us all to her cool little composition journal, and the conversation went something like this: PK :  Here is my Smash book. Me : Your what? PK : My Smash Book. Me : Like, smash, what? PK : Smash . . . things. You know. Like, stuff. Me : What? PK : See . . . I will put stuff in here. Junk. Things I don't want to lose, but don't know what to do with. Me : Huh? PK : Smash. Any day now . . . Any day now . . . we will see you in all your glory, and the memory of past Springs will become our reality once again.  Any day now . . . Original site unknown. . . . when Gene Wilder drinks something (that I like to imagine is the sweetest, butteriest, most amazing thing) from a buttercup, and I'll wish just once I could do the same with you. Any day now . . . I will turn the corner of our block and find you waiting for me with your petals wide open, as if wanting to give me a Spring hug, and your scent will make me feel as if the heavens have opened up and sprinkled sweet smells over us all. Hot Off The Presses! A fanTAStic Weekend Treat!

Howdy Friends!!! Hope this post finds you all doing well! As part of my blog series "100 Things to Do with Grapes"  (STOP - wait a minute .... are you kidding me??? I don't have a blog series about grapes!!! Oh - but just imagine if I did!!!), I just had to share with you one of my very all time favorite summer treats . . .  Ok, are you even slightly interested? Hang in there with me, ok? Because this easy, summer "yum" is bound to be a favorite of YOURS!!!! That is . . . unless you have a peanut allergy. If you have a peanut allergy, I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST making this treat. (Come back Monday for another more appropriate post for you.)
