Sunshine Girl lost in a sky of gray

The days have been cold, wet, gray and so so gloomy lately. I think the winter blues have settled into this otherwise cheery head of mine. It's oh-so cold, and I can't seem to get warm enough. Could I be fighting something????? Oh, pray tell, NO! Now is NOT the week to come down with something . . .

PG returns home on Wednesday (wahoooo!!!). . . and with his return, I'm sure the sunshine will follow.

Then Friday night, I am heading out for some creative rejuvenating with these lovely ladies . . .
Aren't they gorgeous? My Scrapbook Cellar Girls . . . we haven't been together since early December, and we are gathering on Friday evening (for laughter and tears, of course, because there are always a few tears shed each gathering! But those are "good" tears. You know, the healing kind.) I NEED to create . . . and can't WAIT!!!

What about you? What do you do to fill your soul? I'd love to know . . .

  1. Dance party! This is a very timely post. I heard Jan. 17 is the most depressing day of the year for people. :( If you're feeling down, you're in good company at least! Here's to super sunshiney days straight ahead Lovey!

  3. I totally know that "need to create"! In fact, this week I had the NEED to knit! It comes about this time every year...last year I knit a few hats...this year I'm knitting the cutest striped legwarmers for S-girl. There is just something so satisfying about creating!! Have a blast!

  5. Hello stranger! ;-) Just a happy hello and to let you know I spent the whole day *creating* in my sewing room on my day off today. It felt sooo good! I hope you and your girls have a great time on Friday and that your movie night was good... still haven't seen Eat, Pray, Love! Also, I know it's cold in IL, but we just got word that our overnight temp with wind chill will be -32 BELOW zero. Time to plug the car in! take care -

  7. My two favorite things to do that fill my soul are: #1 - go to my Monday night small group meeting from church (it's all girls) where we share the good, the bad and the ugly; and #2 - go to lunch with my friends on the weekends (last weekend we tried a cute little British cafe - it was lovely and my new favorite sandwich is Brie & Bacon on french bread)

  8. Read & write & listen to music and know that I'm a tiny part of the creative conscious.

Eating chocolate does the soul wonders, too.

  9. Bad case of the winter blues over here too...but at least the sun is shining today :-)
The Scrapbook Cellars Girls are indeed gorgeous...hope you have a good time together on Friday!
I need to find something creative to do...contemplating a pottery class, but fear I'll make a big old mess of everything :-)

  10. It has been gloomy here, too but today the sun is out!! Hooray! It has improved my mood so much!

When I have the blues creating helps. Also spending time with my family...playing a game or snuggling and having a movie night.

I hope to meet you all this summer, Leanne!!!
